- נְפִוחָהf. (נָפַח) blowing, breath. Y.Sabb.II, 5a bot. הבעיר וכיבה בנ׳ אחת if he ignited and extinguished in one continued act of blowing. Gen. R. s. 14, end בעולם הזה בנ׳וכ׳ in this world the breath of life is put in by blowing (Gen. 2:7), … but in the coming world by placing (Ez. 37:6). Ib. ומה אם זה שעשוי בנְפִיחָתוֹ של בשר ורםוכ׳ if this (glass) which is produced by the blowing of a human being, can be restored (when broken.) ; a. e.Y.Meg.III, 74b bot. בנ׳ אתת in one breath (v. נְשִׁימָה).(Ruth R. to III, 3 אזל נפיחה, v. נִפֵי.
